1. Why a photobooth at your wedding?

A wedding without a photobooth is an evening where your guests are left alone with their phones. Blurry photos, missed flashes, the bride tagged on Instagram with a unicorn sticker — we’ve all been there. A photobooth changes everything: it turns every guest into an actor in your memories, with professional quality, a paper print to take home and a digital gallery for everyone.

At CF Events, we’ve been setting up photobooths at weddings since 2021 — over 250 weddings in Haute-Savoie alone. We know exactly what works, what fails, and what your guests will talk about for weeks.

The couples we worked with in Annecy, Chambery, or Geneva all say the same thing: "It's the best investment we made after the caterer."

The 4 key benefits

  • Entertainment without effort: your guests have fun all evening without you lifting a finger.
  • Professional quality: pro flash, sharp photos even in the dark, custom frames.
  • Tangible keepsakes: instant prints guests take home — much better than blurry phone photos.
  • Gallery < 24h: all photos (with and without frames) delivered digitally the next day.

2. Which photobooth model to choose?

Not all photobooths are created equal. The model affects the visual mood, the space required, and how your guests interact with it. Here are our 4 main models, designed for different wedding styles.

White wood

Elegant, refined, fits anywhere. Ideal for romantic, rustic or classic weddings.

Dark wood

Warm, rustic chic. Perfect for barn, chateau or boho weddings.

Mirror

Premium, guaranteed wow effect. Touch interaction on the mirror surface.

Mini

Compact, for small weddings or tight rooms. Same features.

Our advice: for a wedding of 100 to 150 guests in a standard venue, white wood is the best visual-practical compromise. For a prestige wedding with a wedding planner, the mirror creates an iconic photo moment.

3. How much does a wedding photobooth cost?

The price depends on 3 variables: the size of your wedding, the chosen model, and the options (backdrop, guestbook, videobooth combo). At CF Events, everything is flat-rate and transparent.

Number of guests Recommended model Price range
Under 50 Mini or White wood 250 – 450 €
50 – 100 White wood / Dark wood 350 – 550 €
100 – 200 Wood or Mirror 450 – 650 €
200 and above Mirror + backup option 550 – 800 €

Everything is included in these rates: setup, teardown, custom prints, 24h digital gallery, remote assistance. Use our calculator for a precise estimate in 30 seconds →

Options that make the difference

  • + Matching backdrop (flower wall, gold motifs…): €80 – €200
  • + 360° Videobooth combo: 10% saving on the package
  • + Audio guestbook : 150 – 500 €
  • + Physical 20-page photo album: €120

4. Customizing to match the wedding colors

This is where a pro photobooth truly stands out from a DIY solution. We customize every visual element to match your wedding identity.

What we systematically customize

  • Photo frames: your first names, date, colors, logos, floral motifs…
  • Screen display: welcome screen matching your invitation.
  • Backdrop: chosen to match your decor (if option taken).
  • Props: themed to match your wedding universe.

Our creative process

  1. You send us your invitation or color palette.
  2. We create 2–3 frame mockups.
  3. You choose, we adjust. One round of revisions included.
  4. Everything is ready before the big day.

5. When to place the photobooth?

The moment matters as much as the model. Here are our recommendations.

Option 1 — Recommended
Cocktail hour

The waiting period between ceremony and dinner = ideal moment. Ice-breaker guaranteed.

Option 2 — Optimal
Cocktail + after dessert

Double use = max ROI. End-of-evening photos are the most fun.

Option 3 — To avoid
During dinner

Guests seated = very little use. Save it for the standing moments.

Plan for an active window of 5 to 7 hours with setup 1h before your guests arrive.

6. Logistics: space, electricity, access

  • Space: ~2m × 2m for the photobooth + backdrop. Slightly more for comfortable guest flow.
  • Power: 1 standard 230V outlet within 5m. We hide cables.
  • Access: we need vehicle access for setup (30–45 min) and teardown. Tell us about stairs, elevators, narrow passages.
  • Lighting: the photobooth has its own pro flash — no need for ambient light. Works perfectly in the dark.

7. The 7 pitfalls to avoid

  1. Booking too late: popular dates fill up 6–12 months ahead. Book early.
  2. Wrong model for the venue: a big booth in a tiny room = chaos. Ask us, we’ll recommend.
  3. Forgetting Wi-Fi: no network = no live sharing. Take the Wi-Fi hotspot option.
  4. Bad placement: avoid corridors, behind doors, or next to speakers. Choose a visible, accessible spot.
  5. Skipping customization: a generic frame = missed opportunity. Your names + date + colors = perfection.
  6. Not enough prints: plan 4 prints per person. Running out kills the vibe.
  7. Ignoring the 360° Videobooth: the photo + video combo is the most popular at weddings. Consider it.
